No Decatur City Council meeting on Monday, March 2 at 5:30 PM

Normally, city council meetings are held on the first and third Mondays of each month. However, a very large agenda at the February 24 meeting has resulted in a situation where there are no items that require a vote of the city council in early March. Thus, the March 2 meeting has been cancelled. The next meeting of the Decatur City Council will take place on Monday, March 16 at 5:30 PM and a study session is scheduled for Monday, March 23 at 5:30 PM.

CITIZENS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND MEETINGS AND EXPRESS THEIR VIEWS – Citizens are allotted 3 minutes per person near the beginning of each city council meeting. In addition, citizens can provide comments regarding one regular agenda item per meeting for up to three minutes provided they notify the city in advance (and prior to the start of the meeting). You can request to speak on a particular agenda item at a council meeting by filling out an on-line form at: https://www.decaturil.gov/…/advance-request-to-speak-at-co…/.

Meetings take place at the City Council Chamber located on the third floor of the Decatur Civic Center (1 Gary K. Anderson Place). Free parking is available in the lot immediately south of the entrance. An agenda to each city council meeting can be found at: https://www.decaturil.gov/mayor-and-counc…/council-meetings/.

CONTACT INFORMATION FOR CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS – If you would like to discuss an issue with a city council member, phone numbers and e-mail addresses for each council member can be found at the following link: https://www.decaturil.gov/mayor-and-council/council/.
